Empowering Our Community: A Message from the
President
Dear Friends, Partners, and Supporters,
I hope you all had a fun-filled and relaxing 4th of July
holiday! As we step into this new season, I am filled with
immense gratitude for the dedication and resilience of our
community. Together, we continue to break down barriers to
care, advance health literacy, and provide critical
resources to the individuals who need them most.
Our mission has always been driven by
connection—connecting educational resources, health
educators, clinical personnel, and more to communities,
and supporters with a shared vision. This month, I am
absolutely thrilled to announce several new initiatives
designed to deepen those connections and elevate our
collective impact.
Announcing Our New "Fireside Chat" Forum
Innovation often begins with an open conversation. I am
proud to officially announce our new
Fireside Chat Forum series successfully
launched on Tuesday, 6/30.
This new platform is designed to bring you up-close and
personal with leading voices in healthcare, patient
advocacy, and grassroots wellness. Moving away from rigid
lecture formats, these virtual gatherings will be casual,
candid, and interactive. We will dive into pressing
healthcare topics, share behind-the-scenes stories of
survival and care, and—most importantly—give
you the opportunity to ask questions in
real-time. Keep an eye on your inbox and out website for
more fireside chats to come!
Celebrating Our Sponsor of the Month: TBD
Our work is only possible because of the incredible
organizations that stand beside us. In the months to come,
we want to shine a well-deserved spotlight on our
Sponsor of the Month: TBD.
Mark Your Calendars: Upcoming Webinars and Fireside
chats
Knowledge is a powerful tool for health empowerment. We
have created a fantastic lineup of events for the upcoming
months, designed for patients, caregivers, and healthcare
advocates alike:
-
July 28: Advancing Nutrition
Literacy: Evidence – Based Resources and Practical
Strategies for Clinical and Non-Clinical
Educators
-
August (Date TBD): HCEA Fireside Chat: AI in Health
Literacy and Health Education
...And So Much More to come!
Beyond these major announcements, our teams are working
hard on the ground every day. From expanding our localized
health screening pop-ups to refreshing our digital
resource library with multilingual guides, we are
constantly striving to do more, do better, and achieve
further.
None of this happens in a vacuum. It happens because of
your donations, your volunteer hours, and your shared
belief that healthcare is a fundamental right.
Thank you for your continued trust and partnership.
With warm regards,
Leah A. Hazel
