    Title: From Posts to Practice: Social Media Perspectives on AI in Patient Care

    Learning Objectives

    1. Identify how AI and emerging technologies in EHRs support patient-centered care

    and access, as reflected in social media discussions.

    2. Interpret social media trends and public sentiment around AI in patient care and

    EHRs, focusing on digital health literacy and patient-provider communication.

    3. Assess ethical, practical, and social media-informed factors influencing the adoption

    of AI tools in EHRs aligned with patient and family needs.


    Description

    This session will explore how artificial intelligence is transforming patient-facing care

    through integration with EPIC and other electronic health records. It will review how AI

    enhances care coordination, patient-provider communication, and access to services

    that address medical and health-related social needs. Attendees will gain insights into

    public sentiment and engagement with AI in healthcare through social media analysis.

    The session will highlight how integrating medical and social care records can support

    patient-and-family-centered care approaches. Key concepts in digital health literacy,

    user-centered design, and ethical implementation of patient-facing technologies will be

    discussed. Lastly, the session will demonstrate how AI can reduce care fragmentation

    and strengthen connectedness across the care continuum.

    About the instructor: 

    Jacques Henry has built a career defined by one consistent focus in helping others. Beginning in the medical field, he served both professionally and as a volunteer EMT with the Bedford- Stuyvesant Volunteer Ambulance Corps in Brooklyn, before joining the nursing department at the New York Blood Center, where he ran onsite blood donations.

    Jacques later transitioned into finance as a loan officer and licensed real estate agent. During this time, He worked with families facing foreclosure, helping them navigate difficult financial circumstances and preserve their homes. Following this, he pursued a long-time passion for technology in designing, programming, and installing advanced control systems for major corporate clients.

    A deeply personal turning point came after the loss of a close friend, whose family was forced to borrow money to cover funeral expenses. That experience solidified his commitment to ensuring no family has to face such hardship unprepared. Today, as a licensed life and health insurance broker, surrounded by veterans in the Insurance Industry with over 15 years of experience, he dedicates his work to educating and protecting individuals and families through clear, compassionate guidance.

    Jacques combines a wealth of diverse experience with a genuine passion for service. His mission is simple: To empower families with the knowledge and resources they need to protect their future and that of their loved ones.
