We Need Your Help: Volunteers Needed to Develop Patient Education Practice Guidelines
The Health Care Education Association (HCEA) is developing clinical practice guidelines to advance the delivery of efficient and effective health education for patients and their families. Designed for patient educators, these guidelines will include evidence-based best practices for optimizing patient care through education.
HCEA will work on select components of guideline development:
• Review of the literature
• Evaluation and synthesis of the evidence
• Development of evidence-based guidelines
We are looking for volunteers with skills in the following areas:
• Project management
• Database management
• Practice guideline development
• Library Sciences (MLS)

HCEA is excited to announce the 2017 conference, "Reaching New Heights in Patient Powered Care", being held in Salt Lake City, UT September 6 - 8, 2017.
This year's theme focuses on how educators can empower patients and families while they navigate through the ever changing health care environment.
We encourage you to present at the 2017 conference to an audience of patient educators, staff educators and other professional peers, gain exposure of your work and advance your career. Share your patient education innovative ideas, quality improvement initiatives and research!
